The base features soccer ball's classic hexagons, while the upper part is adorned with bright brass motifs. The drum is carved by hand of local emire wood; it is stained with polish for coloring. The drumhead is crafted of goat hide and it is held taught to the wood base with iron hoops; these are covered in cotton cloth to prevent rust. A fine nylon netting also fastens the skin to the base, which enhances the quality of the drums' beat.
