Description: The exultant rhythms of West Africa are to be replicated around the world with this magnificent djembe drum. Hand-carved of tweneboa wood by Abubakari Alhassan, the drum features two important Adinkra symbols. The crossed swords are known as akoben and symbolize authority as well as gallantry. The half moon image is known as akobe, which stands for loyal devotion and service. Alhassan crafts the drumhead of goat's skin.
